Interviews
An interview is required for the following graduate programs:
- M.B.A. in Business Administration
- M.P.S. in Community Service Administration
- M.S. Ed. in Literacy
- M.S. Ed. in Counseling
Matriculation Dates
Counseling, Literacy, Community Service Administration, and Business Administration students may matriculate once a year, during the summer term.
Residency Requirement
Students are required to attend courses on Alfred University's campus for one week during the summer semester. Students will receive specific information about Alfred University on-campus courses after matriculation. Official Transcripts
Applicants must provide official transcripts/mark sheets (in English) from each and every college or university previously attended, including proof that he/she holds the baccalaureate degree. These records must be sent directly from the college or university with appropriate certifications. Photocopies or facsimiles are not accepted.
Applicants who are currently enrolled should submit a transcript (official academic record) of courses completed to date along with the application; as soon as coursework is completed a final transcript and degree certificate should be submitted. The records should show a complete list of courses taken, grades received, and any diplomas or certificates earned.

Standardized Tests
- M.B.A. - applicants must submit GMAT scores.
- M.S. Ed. in Literacy - current N.Y.S. teacher certification is required.
- M.S. Ed. in Counseling - applicants must submit GRE scores.

Transfer Credits
Alfred University may accept six graduate credits for transfer into the literacy or counseling programs. Students who are interested in transferring credits into the program should submit a request, along with the official transcript and course descriptions at the time of application. The request will be reviewed by the Graduate Admission Committee and the Graduate Program Director. Course credentials and relevance apply.

Letters of Recommendation
Applicants to the following programs must submit two letters of recommendation.
- M.B.A. in Business Administration
- M.P.S. in Community Services Administration
- M.S. Ed. in Counseling
- M.S. Ed. in Literacy

form.

- Letters of recommendation should be on official letterhead and must be signed. Photocopies of letters will not be accepted.

Statement of Intent
Applicants must submit a written statement describing career goals and reasons for the chosen field of graduate study. Outline topics of special interest and include relevant experience such as internships, co-ops, or other professional activities. M.B.A. applicants may choose to submit a professional resume.
