Red Cross Blood Drive Sept. 26

Residence Life at Alfred University is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26 in the Knight Club, Powell Campus Center. Faculty, staff, students, and community members are invited to participate.

Appointments are appreciated but walk-ins are welcome. To schedule an appointment go to: www.redcrossblood.org or sign up for a time in person in either the Powell Campus Center on Wednesday 9/13 and or Ade Dining Hall on Friday 9/15 from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.

Also check out the Red Cross's new system: RapidPass®. It can help save time during your next blood or platelet donation. For the best donation experience, we recommend you schedule an appointment, then complete your RapidPass® at www.redcrossblood.org/rap...

Intended donors are urged to drink plenty of fluids on the day of the donation, wear comfortable clothing with sleeves that are easy to roll up, eat iron-rich foods prior to donation day, and bring a list of prescription/over-the-counter medications that you are currently taking or are in your system. Students also bring a student ID.

This spring, Colleges Against Cancer will be working with the Relay for Life Club at Alfred State to have a combined Relay for Life event on April 14th from 12pm-12am! We encourage other clubs and organizations to get involved in this event! More information will be sent out about Relay for Life, but for now we need you all to vote on a theme for this years event! One of the most touted small-town college perks is "dinner at my professor's house" and it's something we hear from alumni is a true highlight of their Alfred experience. Paris in the springtime

Have you always wanted to see Paris in the springtime? This is your chance!

Global Perspectives: Paris (FREN 210/GBST 210/ARTH 300) will be offered again this spring. Global Perspectives: Paris is a 2-credit B-block course on the history, culture, and art of Paris with a required two-week trip to France in May. No prior knowledge of French required.

Want more information? Please join us for an information session at 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.,Thursday, September 21 at the Terra Cotta (upstairs).
