ARC First Aid - Professional Rescuer CPR-AED
- Location: Howell Hall - Upstairs

An American Red Cross First Aid - Professional Rescuer CPR-AED class will be held Friday, Nov. 13 and Friday, Dec. 18 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Howell Hall - Upstairs.

The cost for this class is $8 for employees and $15 for students. Each class is limited to 6 people. E-mail haasec@alfred.edu or perrydr@alfred.edu or phone 2190 (Cherise) or 3020 (Dean) to pre-register for this class.

Environmental Studies Speaker Series - ’ProtoHaus!’

Ann Holley of the NYS College of Ceramics, School of Art and Design will speak on her project "ProtoHaus: A Traditional/Non-traditional Home." Ann is working towards an MFA in the Sculpture and Dimensional Studies program here at AU, and seeks to unite her interests in ecological sensitivity, social equality, financial freedom, construction, education, and sculpture under the heading of "Alternative Living Systems."

Please join us to hear more about this great project. All are welcome, and refreshments will be served.

Sexy Pitches in Concert
- Location: Holmes Auditorium, Harder Hall

The Sexy Pitches-- Alfred’s all-female acappella group-- will be performing this Friday night in Holmes Auditorium.

What is acapella? We sing without instruments. The Sexy Pitches are eight women on stage singing everything from Journey to Lollipop to Walk Like an Egyptian, and having a ball.

International Trivia Quiz

The International Student and Scholar Organization is hosting an international trivia quiz night upstairs at the Terra Cotta. Emrys Westacott is quizmaster. Prizes awarded to the winning team.

When his girlfriend, Summer, unceremoniously dumps him, greeting-card copywriter and hopeless romantic, Tom, begins sifting through the year-plus worth of days they spent together, looking for clues to what went awry.

Autumn Visit Day with Admissions

The Office of Admissions is having our final fall open house for prospective students on Saturday, November 14. We are expecting over 100 students including their families which will bring over 250 people on campus for this event.

Registration begins in Powell Campus Center at 8:30 followed by an academic fair, admissions and financial aid session as well as other concurrent sessions. Families will be eating lunch on campus in Ade dining hall from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Concurrent tours will follow lunch
