Wendy Beckemeyer joined the Alfred University administration Aug. 1, 2004, as vice president of enrollment management.
Beckemeyer had been vice president for enrollment management and dean of admissions at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH, for the past eight years.
Ms. Beckemeyer began her professional career at California Lutheran University as an admissions counselor, and then as an assistant director of admissions before moving to Cottey College in Nevada, MO, where she advanced from assistant director of admissions to director of enrollment management. She took the position as vice president for enrollment management at Colby-Sawyer College in 1996.
Additionally, Ms. Beckemeyer is a senior associate consultant for Noel-Levitz, a national consulting firm that specializes in assisting colleges and universities with student recruitment, financial aid, student retention, market research, publications and web site development, and professional development. She has been affiliated with the firm since 2000, and was named a senior associate consultant in 2003.
