AU English professor brings 'Roleplay' to Bergren Forum series
Alfred University Professor of English Juliana Gray will present “Roleplay: A Reading of Personal and Persona Poems” as part of the Spring 2013 Bergren Forum series on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 12:10 p.m. in the Nevins Theater, Powell Campus Center.
During the presentation, Gray will read from her recently published poetry collection, “Roleplay.”
Gray received a bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of Alabama, with minors in history and creative writing, before continuing her education to earn a master of arts degree in English and creative writing from the University of Tennessee, and a Ph.D. in English and creative writing from the University of Cincinnati.
She has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the Tennessee Williams Scholarship, the Theodore Christian Hoepfner Award, and the Elliston/Lanzit Fellowship. Her works have been featured in several journals, books, and anthologies.
The Bergren Forum, sponsored by the Alfred University Division of Human Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, meets Thursdays during each academic semester at the University. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch; coffee and tea will be available.
