In the opener, a slugfest that saw the score tied at 8-8 after five innings, AU scored two runs in each of the final two innings and Muller clamped down on the Dragons, tossing 2 2/3 innings of hitless relief to improve to 3-2 on the year.

Torchia was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two driven in; Wickwire had two hits, scored twice and drove in three runs; and freshman second baseman Patricia Burdick (Lockport, NY/Lockport) had two hits, including a double, and scored a run.
