Student Affairs vice president to address college student personnel
Kathy Woughter, vice president for Student Affairs at Alfred University, has been selected to be the keynote speaker at the College Student Personnel Association of New York Graduate Pre-Conference on Oct. 6, 2013 in Rochester.
The conference will explore issues in higher education and student affairs, encourage graduate students to participate in conversations on theory and job searches, help attendees to develop skills, and allow first- and second-year graduate students to network with each other and current professionals in the field of higher education.
Woughter is a member of the regional board of directors for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and was the 2012 Regional Conference Chair (Buffalo). She has also served as a board member on the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce and is the AU representative to the Hornell Chamber of Commerce.
Woughter holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and secondary education from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a master’s degree in counseling from Alfred University. Prior to becoming vice president for Student Affairs, she was coordinator of Career Counseling Services and director of the Career Development Center at the University.
