Prospective students, parents invited to Preview Days
Alfred University (AU) Preview Days 2013 are scheduled for Monday, Oct. 14, and Monday, Nov. 11, offering prospective students and their parents the opportunity to visit the campus, ask questions about college, and to discover what the University has to offer. General information about freshman and transfer admission, as well as financial aid and scholarship presentations will be provided.
Each Preview Day begins with registration at 9:45 a.m. in the Powell Campus Center lobby on the second floor. The first session, “The AU Advantage” begins at 10:15 a.m. in Nevins Theater, also on the second floor. Representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Career Development Center will provide an interactive panel discussion to present information from their respective areas.
At 11:30 a.m. there will be specialized tours for those interested in art or engineering as well as a general campus tour. All tours will be followed by lunch with faculty and staff members at 12:30 p.m. in the Knight Club, on the third floor of Powell Campus Center. There will be time to ask questions and learn more about academic life at AU.
Following lunch there will be a second general campus tour at 1:30 p.m. for those who selected the art and engineering visits in the morning. Also, the Bromeley-Daggett Equestrian Center at Maris Cuneo Equine Park will be open from noon-2 p.m. for visits.
