Campus set to host annual fair for prospective graduate/professional school candidates
Alfred University (AU) will host a Graduate and Professional School Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 22 in Powell Campus Center’s Knight Club from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All are welcome.
Representatives from more than 60 graduate degree programs will be on campus to discuss a wide variety of program options. The fair will assist participants in gaining insight into the application process, what goes into a personal statement, the procedure for requesting application waivers, and how to discover previously unknown and interesting graduate programs.
Thirty-three percent of AU’s graduating seniors in 2011 went on to graduate or professional school within one year of graduation. With over 50 undergraduate major concentrations in the liberal arts and sciences, engineering, art and design, and business, and as home to the College of Ceramics, AU finds a majority of students planning to attend graduate school apply to programs in education, human services, medicine, law, art and design, business, sciences, liberal arts, and engineering.
