Cross Country teams compete at Hamilton

CLINTON, NY – The Alfred University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed Saturday at the Hamilton College Invitational. The AU women placed 11th, while the Saxon men did not post a team score.


Freshman Mary Baughman (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) took 27th in 19:38.80 on the 5-kilometer course to pace the AU women. Junior Tracie Forrester (Gainesville, NY/Letchworth) was 51st (20:52.50) and freshman Emily Poole (Fayetteville, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) was 70th (22:10.10).


Freshman Kevin Dixon (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) was 25th on the 8-kilometer course in 28:06.90 to lead the Alfred men. Freshman Luke Tesoriero (Homer, NY/Homer) was 72nd and sophomore Ethan Foster (Bolivar, NY/Bolivar-Richburg) was 124th (33:37.70).


The AU men’s and women’s teams are in action next on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the New York State championships, at Hamilton College.
