Biking to AU for Reunion? Book your rooms!
Thinking of going to Alumni Reunion this year? Why not consider joining other alumni on our week-long biking adventure?
The ride begins in Toronto, Canada, Sunday, June 1 and ends Friday, June 6 at the King Alfred Statue on campus. We have planned overnight stays in Hamilton, Ontario; Niagara Falls, Ontario; Darien Lake, NY; Letchworth State Park, Castile, NY; and Corning, NY.
So far, we have veteran riders Dave Perry ’61 (2011, 2012, 2013 rides), Dave Conrad ’76 (2012, 2013), David Holleb ‘77 (2012, 2013), and Jim Randall ’77 (2012, 2013) committed to the ride. Richard Rygiel ’76 will join us on the last day or two of the trip. Janan Chandler ’79, a fourth-grade teacher in Mississauga, Ontario (suburb of Toronto) has graciously agreed to be our hostess this year.
We invite other alumni to join us! You are welcome to take part in the entire ride, ride with us for a day or two, or meet us for lunch or dinner along the way. The AU reunion ride is becoming an annual event and momentum is building! The earlier rides averaged five riders for the entire trip; last year we had 10-12 riders for most of the trip.
If you are interested in biking with us, let us know! You still have time to decide but will need to reserve hotel rooms soon. Contact David Holleb ’77 at firstname.lastname@example.org or 908.234.9297 for hotel and trip information.
