All invited to second annual Women in the Wilderness event
The second annual Women in the Wilderness at Alfred University (AU) event will take place on Saturday, April 5 from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (rain date April 12). This event is open to everyone, including community members, AU faculty/staff, and students. Registration is $13; this cost will cover transportation, food, and merchandise.
The event starts and ends with a reception at the Judson Leadership Center at Alfred University. Women in the Wilderness will consist of a two-mile hike at Phillip’s Creek State Forest off of Rt. 244 in Alfred Station. Along the hike, participants will be provided with five informational sessions which will include Leave No Trace, Packing a Day Bag, Mental Health, Safety and Survival, and Hygiene. Transportation will be provided from AU to Philip’s Creek State Forest.

This event is organized as a capstone project for the AU Women’s Leadership Academy.
