Porcelain work by Galloway featured
“Beautifully Functional” by three artists, including Julia Galloway, AU Class of 1988, is on exhibit at Turman Larison Contemporary, Helena, MT, through Saturday, Aug. 16.
In an article appearing in the Helena Independent Record, the writer notes: “Galloway’s work is as functional as it is beautiful. To her, beauty is as valid as function, and she delights in making pottery that is joyous to use and decorates our living spaces with character and elegance. Galloway is a utilitarian potter and professor. She is currently the director of the School of Art and a professor at the University of Montana, Missoula.”
Turman Larison Contemporary, at 337 N. Last Chance Gulch, is open Tuesdays-Fridays from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. For more information, please call 406.443.0340.
