Amanda Baker

Amanda joined the CDC in May, 2016. She comes to AU with 10 years of experience in higher education career development. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in psychology from Shippensburg University; her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2001; and her Master of Science in Counselor Education in 2005, both from The Pennsylvania State University. Amanda is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and is Certified on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). She has served on the Board of the Middle Atlantic Career Counseling Association (MACCA); the Ethics Committee of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and is a past president of the Maryland Career Development Association (MCDA).

Jill joined the CDC team in July, 2007. She has a Master of Science in Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from SUNY Brockport.

Valerie was born and raised in Angelica NY. She graduated from SUNY Alfred with a Bachelor of Arts in Business. Valerie has over 17 years experience in the travel & tourism industry working in sales and marketing, as well as customer service. Valerie began working at AU in 2012 assisting the VP for Student Affairs and joined the CDC in September 2016. She enjoys spending time with her family and attending sporting events, especially those that her children are involved in.

Corey grew up in Maine and moved to Alfred in 1997. She first graduated from Alfred University in 2001 with a BA in Fine Arts, and earned a BS in Art History and Theory in 2015. She is currently enrolled in Alfred’s MSEd program in College Student Development. Corey began working at AU in 2005 and joined the CDC in May 2014. She lives locally with her family and dachshund, Biscuit, and sings with the AU Chorus. Corey and her family enjoy participating in local community events and exploring the Finger Lakes region.
