Lorelei d'Andriole - Artist Talk

Lorelei will give an Artist Talk hosted by James Hanson and the Institute for Electronic Arts. Lorelei d’Andriole (she/her/hers) is a trans artist, educator and writer whose work is at the intersections of experimental art and transgender studies.

 Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, d’Andriole earned her MFA from the University of Iowa’s Intermedia program. She has shown work at universities, galleries, festivals and DIY spaces including most recently at the Great Lakes Association for Sound Studies inaugural conference at the University of Regina. d’Andriole was a visual arts fellow at the Leslie Lohman Museum of Art in New York City, NY from 2021-2022 and is an Assistant Professor in Electronic Art and Intermedia at Michigan State University where she teaches courses in video, sound, and performance. She is currently teaching the first ever transgender studies course through MSU’s Interdisciplinary Art and Humanities program. She currently serves as a committee member for the International Alliance for Women in Music, where is advocates for trans* inclusion.
