Tennis Skills Camp
July 16-18, 2018
This camp, held on the Alfred University Tennis Courts, is for boys and girls entering grades 7-12. Training at the beginner through advanced levels will be provided.
- Fundamental instruction in stroke technique, footwork and court strategy
- Technique training including serve, forehand, backhand and volley
- A great opportunity for kids to have fun as they improve their stroke production and enhance their understanding of the game of tennis.
Mike Graham, AU's Head Women's and Men's Tennis Coach; apointed prior to the 2017-2018 academic year. Graham is a 2016 graduate of Alfred University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. While at AU, he was a four-year member of the Saxons' men's tennis team (2012-2015), serving as team captain his senior season. He served as an assistant coach for the AU men's and women's teams during the 2015-16 seasons. His previous experience coaching tennis includes working as a summer tennis camp coach at Elmira College in 2017; as a tennis instructor at the Corning YMCA in 2011; and as an instructor for the Greater Elmira Tennis Association in 2010. A native of Elmira, NY, Graham served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Elmira College during the 2016-2017 academic year.
Camp sessions will be held Monday through Wednesday, from 12:00-3:00 PM
Cost: $135 per person

Program Cancellation Policy:
The University may cancel any course or activity at any time because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program is canceled or postponed, the University will refund registration fees, but cannot be held responsible for other costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies. If we do not meet our minimum enrollment number by two business days after the deadline, the camp will be cancelled, campers and their parents will be notified, and camp fees will be refunded.
