Licensing Regulatory Specialist, Fidelity Investments Providence, RI

Sydney (Syd) Dominick is a Licensing Regulatory Specialist for Fidelity Investments in Providence, Rhode Island. Fidelity provides financial planning, advice, and educational resources to help investors make their goals a reality.

As part of the Licensing Regulatory Specialist team, Syd has been working to create and update resources to help the organization rollout their national approach to onboarding, scheduling, reporting and insurance licensing. Previously Syd worked as a teacher, a gallery attendant, a non-profit volunteer and is currently a tour guide for the Providence Tour Company.

During their first year at Alfred, Syd worked full-time at the Terra Cotta while also maintaining a full course load. For the remainder of their time at Alfred Syd worked as a waitress and bartender at the Rosebush, while also holding various positions at the university, including an FYE Peer Leader for CLAS, and working at Starbucks in Powell.

In their final semester and beyond Syd also volunteered and organized with Alfred for Racial Justice. Syd also was secretary of the Eurosim club and got to participate in Eurosim 2020 in Antwerp, Belgium, was the Vice President of the Political Science Club and then president of the club from August, 2020 to December, 2020. Syd completed an honors thesis and received honors for both majors, Political Science and Sociology. Syd was also inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Notably, Syd was a first-generation college student.

Sydney earned bachelor’s degrees in political science and sociology from Alfred University in 2020.
