Michael Joiner is the Director of Reentry Training and Employment Programs for New York State.
Michael is also an Empire 8 Champion. He has applied two skill sets from that experience to his current role:

- Being accountable for one’s work
He wants current students to know that no matter what field you decide to work in one day, effective communication and accountability will always set you apart from the rest.
He also wants Alfred University (AU) students to know that during their time at Alfred University, they will make memories that will last a lifetime.
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice studies from Alfred University in 2018.
